Winter Interest Noted While Weeding

Chasmanthium latifolium
I was able to do a bit of weeding this afternoon in the main perennial border of the front garden. I'm tempted to express disgust (in the form of "Ugh") but it's so relaxing.

Now that spring is here, I also did some clean-up --clipping back the inflorescences from last year and such. While I doing this, I was amazed at how beautiful some plants are in the winter. I've included a picture. This is one of my favorite plants for winter interest, called River Oats (Chasmanthium latifolium). Enjoy.

Reminder to self: I need to move these plants as it's too dry in that location!
